The IEC Open House is a unique opportunity for individuals of all backgrounds and ages to discover the exciting prospects within the electrical industry. Whether you are a recent graduate, a career changer, or simply interested in exploring new opportunities, this event will provide valuable insights into the world of electrical apprenticeship and its advantages.

 

IEC’s experienced instructors and staff will be present to address any questions and provide comprehensive information about the electrical apprenticeship program. Industry Partners and Associate members will also be present to introduce tools and discuss trade. Attendees will have the chance to embark on guided tours of this cutting-edge training facility, witnessing firsthand the exceptional hands-on lab activities and demonstrations that form an integral part of the curriculum. Most importantly, on-site interviews with Contractor members will be available.

 

There will also be opportunities to engage with current and past students who have successfully completed the apprenticeship program, allowing for valuable insights into their experiences and successes. Food, drinks, and raffles will take place, making this a kid-friendly event.

 

The IEC of the Bluegrass apprenticeship program is designed to provide comprehensive training that prepares individuals for successful careers in the electrical trade. Their four-year program offers a unique blend of on-the-job training and related technical instruction, ensuring participants receive a top-notch education and valuable hands-on experience. Furthermore, IEC’s programs are recognized by the U.S. Department of Labor, underscoring their quality and credibility.

 

The success of IEC’s apprenticeship program can be attributed to a deep commitment to delivering the highest quality of education, ensuring graduates are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in the industry. They provide dynamic resource materials and comprehensive classroom training, totaling at least 144 hours per year. Through lectures, demonstrations, labs, and homework, students receive a well-rounded education that prepares them for the challenges of the electrical trade. Additionally, participants benefit from 2,000 hours of supervised on-the-job learning per year, allowing them to apply their newfound knowledge and skills in real-world scenarios.
